The Quality Charter

"complete customer satisfaction in both the quality of our products and the service we provide."

The ten commandments of "Fanny" quality

Thou shalt select the top varieties

The "Fanny" Group only produces or selects the finest quality varieties in terms of flavour (setting aside, de facto, clementine varieties such as Marisol or Oroval).

Thou shalt produce on the best farms

Twenty years of experience on the Spanish soils of Murcia and Valencia have enabled the "Fanny" Group to select the best parcels and to choose the best farmers, guaranteeing consistent quality.

Thou shalt privilege the flavour of the fruit

Minimum juice content is always a high priority, above all at the beginning of the campaign. Sugar content and acidity/sugar ratio are monitored on an ongoing basis throughout the campaign. This information is then passed on to "Fanny" Group customers at regular intervals.

Thou shalt guarantee the grade of the fruit

The "Fanny" Group guarantees its customers 100% respect of the grades mentioned on the labels, no matter what the packaging used.

Thou shalt show concern for the visual aspect

Before being marketed under the "Fanny" brand name, all the citrus fruits packaged in the premium category must respect the following visual criteria:

  • clean, healthy and whole fruit,
  • firm, shiny, fine-textured skin, firmly attached to the fruit,
  • uniform colour,
  • button attached to 80% of the fruit…

Thou shalt strive for Excellence

The production site ISO 14000 certified for its environmental management systems and standards.

Thou shalt respect the cold chain

All the products in the "Fanny" Group are transported by refrigerated lorries that fully respect the cold chain. Before being delivered throughout Europe, supplies arrive at the Perpignan site from 6 o’clock in the morning so as to ensure maximum reactivity for clients and their transporters.

Thou shalt handle the product packaging with the greatest of care

“Fanny" Group products are all palletized according to the following standards':

  • 80/120 or 100/120 Chep pallets,
  • 100% cardboard reinforcement corners,
  • plastic straps,
  • divider pallet for all packaging,
  • personalized ID sheet for each client

Thou shalt communicate seamless traceability

From production through to marketing, from the producer to the ultimate consumer, the "Fanny" Group guarantees complete traceability.

All the production parcels are continuously referenced, segmented and analyzed. In this way each "Fanny" fruit is identified before it is marketed. The traceability data is already available to our clients who demand the highest degree of transparency with respect to the end consumer. A "traceability" databank will shortly be available, updated and consultable in real time on this Internet site.

Though shalt banish all treatment after harvesting

Fanny citrus fruits arrive from Spain post-harvest treatment-free (no preservative treatment, particularly fungicides*). The fruit is washed with biodegradable agents, with no application of non natural or non-vegetable wax.

Weekly analyses are alternately conducted on the Murcia and Perpignan sites by laboratories approved to guarantee this quality.
